Everyday Miracles Home Care (MIRACLES) just learned the SEIU Local 1107 (Union) filed an election petition on November 7, 2024, at the National Labor Relations Board (a neutral government agency) to schedule a mail ballot election to determine if you really want to be represented by the Union. Approximately 15 to 20 or 30% of our employees signed union cards to get an election which is your free choice.

 

Our Employees have the right to vote No against or Yes for the union even if you signed a union card in a secret mail ballot election. It is your free choice. The Union probably has stated they Guarantee you higher wages and benefits. MIRACLES believes that this is just a standard empty campaign promise by the Union, just like a politician's promise. Between now and any possible election, the Union will continue to promise you the best contract, more job security, increased wages, health insurance, holidays, vacation that might exist at other Union companies.

 

DON’T FALL FOR THE UNION'S FALSE PROMISES and LIES. MIRCLES absolutely GUARANTEES in writing that these union promises are FALSE. We pay your wages and benefits and not the Union. The Union can’t GUARANTEE anything except your will pay dues of $60 per month or $664 per year to the union to pay for their hundred thousand ($100,000) salaries according to the Center of Union Facts in Washington DC. Did you know that the Executive Director, Grace Vergara-Mactal made over $134,290. Also, 10 SEIU Union Officers in DC made between $ 183,993 to $279,044. Your dues will go to pay their salaries.

 

Unfortunately, it is legal for Union organizers to make all kinds of false promises. However, the law prohibits our MIRCLES from making any promises at all for higher wages and benefits during the election. Apparently, the Union uses this loophole in the law to try to mislead employees into believing it can GUARANTEE higher wages and benefits.

 

Why do our employees need an outside party to bargain for you and take you hard-earned money in dues, which is approximately $60 per month or more, along with other expenses like initiation fees, when we know that a happy group of employees is necessary to our success? In fact, the Union in 2017 had approximately 10,330 members and now in 2021 only has 9,273 members or a loss of 10% of their membership. The Union is here to increase their $200,000 salaries and union expenses. In fact, as with other Union Contracts, if you do not pay your dues or other fees, the Union could ask MIRCLES to fire you after 30 days of employment or the signing of a contract if you do not pay Union dues.

 

Please don't fall for the Union's pressure tactics and false promises and lies. MIRACLES believes you have the right to join or not join the Union. It is a free country. But we do not think we need the Union at MIRACLES. We hope you agree and will not vote No against the Union.
